Extramedullary solid tumors arising from cells of the myeloid lineage are generally referred to as chloromas because of the green colour and presence of myeloperoxidase in the tumors. Few cases of chloromas not fulfilling these criteria have been reported but none in chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
